Slow Saturdays

Okay today is definitely a SLOW Saturday. It started early this morning when Lily would not stay asleep. I made Paul stay awake with her, and I was definitely too rude about it. I'm not sure how long he was up, but this morning when I sat down with a scone and a cup of coffee, I found Baby Einstein on. Hopefully it doesn't mean he was up for over an hour...

Okay so today I'm going to give a recap of my entire week since its been over a week since I blogged. Sorry.

Monday- Got out of the house since I knew we would be stuck there Tuesday.. Went to Sarah's, my sister, new house!!
  Tuesday- Snow Day! Stuck inside..
Wednesday- MORE ICE - but Paul had a half day so he came home and we spent the evening at the in laws and watched AI.
Thursday- spent the day at my sister's; Took me about 3 hours to fall asleep..Made plans for a friend to visit over Valentines Day weekend!
Friday- Had a nice long night of sleep! Lily was down for 13 hour! Baby food shopping and dinner at the in laws.

Exciting week, huh? I cannot wait until spring! I'm tired of being stuck inside with a baby and a dog. This morning there were so many birds chirping and the air even smelled like spring to me! Only 5 more  weeks.........!!

From here on out I don't have many weekends free until April. My husbands birthday is this coming Thursday. My friend Melissa from Lynchburg, VA is coming to visit Friday morning and staying all weekend. We haven't seen each other since September, and Lily was just a few weeks old! She is going to be so surprised by how big she's gotten! My mom is coming to visit, from Florida, for about a week. Sarah is having a little baby boy sometime in April, and her in laws are throwing her a baby shower on February 27. Actually my little sister, Rebecca, and her family will be down here too! She lives in upstate NY and is an esthetician- the best out there by the way!!

In March we are headed to FL for a week! I can't wait! This will only be Paul's second trip ever, and I'm hoping to get him to Disney World and Sea World. Flying with Lily is concerning me a bit, but I'm sure things will be fine. Towards the end of the month we will be driving to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia where we'll meet up with my best friends from college- Sue and Kelly along with their husbands. The guys all bring their dogs and have a blast in the water. We went down in October for our college's homecoming weekend, and they haven't seen Lily since she was.... I think 6 weeks? Exciting!! I love having annual gatherings- we're hoping it will last forever.

Sarah is due April 14 and she could go early or late, so I want to be around for her. I still want to plan a weekend to CT to visit family and friends I haven't seen in over 20 years. Everyone is married with kids now and my cousins and I want to make sure our children know each other. I also turn the big 3-0 on April 22, so I'm trying to figure out what to do. I've never had a really big party so I think that would fun, but that also means a lot of planning... so maybe I should get on that.

Its crazy how fast the year flies by when you have a baby. When I was pregnant I used to count week by week and that made the nine months go fast- now its the same! It's been a crazy winter but in all honesty its going quickly! Speaking of fast- its 9:15 and Lily is still sleeping! I hadn't even realized...
