Wow. How lazy am I? Its been quite some time since I last posted. Its been a pretty busy spring! I will do my best to give a recap of whats been going on, but I'd rather just start right back up from where I am.
February- Husbands birthday and Valentine's Day. Sister's Baby shower, and family visiting.
March- Trip to Florida!!! To visit my mom in Leesburg. We were there for over a week and Paul, my husband had such a relaxing time. He also had a phone interview and ended up getting hired in April! So he just started his new job as a financial advisor for Edward Jones after spending the last 5 years working up the ladder with Enterprise Rent-a-car. He's in training mode for 8 weeks which means he's at home all day. Its so fun having him around even though he's out of sight most of the day, but lunch together, finishing work earlier than his previous job (so far anyway), and no stressful commute has made the last week a nice one.
I turned 30 in April, and since we are pretty much watching everything we spend it was very low key. Paul got up early and headed out to the Easton Bakery to get me my favorite powdered sugar donuts. Sooo yummy!! They're super soft but the outside has a bite to it, and something about that first crunch makes me want to eat like- 6 of them. We headed out to NYC for the day, which didn't get planned out like I had hoped, but we ended up having lunch at a small corner restaurant on 9th Ave.. I think near 31st? Anyway- I think it was called Lime Jungle.. The food was okay. I did have the best margarita I've had in a very long time. But I probably wouldn't eat there again.
So now just an update for the family-
Since Paul is in training mode, the checks coming in are significantly smaller than normal, so it looks like I'm going to have to work. I have a lot of feelings about this, good and bad, but since I'm so behind in posts I won't get into them right now. But I plan on getting a server job at a local restaurant downtown, so I at least have some cash coming in right away. I also have a phone call "interview" with a business owner later this afternoon. I'll keep you posted on what else happens.
Lily is growing so quickly!! I can't believe she's 8 months old. I've been looking at blogs for inspiration for her first birthday party, I can't wait!! It was fun having my first Mother's Day and just thinking about how she is the reason I got to celebrate. We took lots of pictures together on the front porch, one of my favorite spots to relax.
Well Lily just woke up so I better go get her. She did sleep a little late which is why I can actually blog.
Later on I'll talk about the Yard Sale treasures I got this weekend!
Enjoy this sunny week!!
